Job Description: Industrial Engineering Intern
The Role:
As an Industrial Engineering Intern at UPS, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to solving real-world problems. You’ll work individually and collaboratively on targeted projects, leveraging your analytical and problem-solving skills. These projects often involve:
• Work measurement in Master Standard Data (MSD): Analyzing and optimizing work processes using standardized data.
• Cost-benefit analysis: Assessing the financial impact of proposed changes and solutions.
• Process improvement analysis: Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency.
• Operational planning: Contributing to the planning and execution of operational strategies.
Essential Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven skills in statistical analysis.
• Excellent research and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to achieving results.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills across diverse teams.
Additional Requirements:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen, National, permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S. for UPS.
• Visa sponsorship is not provided.
• Current student or recent graduate (within the past 24 months) from a degreed college/university program.
• Willingness to relocate (if needed).
• Availability to work 40 hours per week.
