Job Description:
This position involves analyzing and designing efficient workflows and operational sequences within plant and production facilities. You will be responsible for optimizing equipment layouts and maximizing the utilization of production facilities and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process Optimization: Analyze and design workflow sequences to improve efficiency in plant and production facilities.
• Equipment Layout: Optimize equipment layouts for maximum utilization and efficiency.
• Resource Management: Establish methods for maximizing utilization of production facilities and personnel.
• Safety Measures: Establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures.
• Training Programs: Develop and manage training programs for personnel on all aspects of production operations.
• Cost Control: Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
• Facility Improvement: Develop and implement plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods based on study findings.
• Collaboration: Assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of new facilities.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering
Desired Skills:
• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering
• Lean Six-Sigma/Green Belt Certification
• Experience with Time Studies
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Strong data analysis skills
• Discrete Event Simulation experience
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent customer focus and interpersonal skills
Additional Information:
• This is a full-time, onsite position at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
• The work schedule is 4×10 hour days, with 3 days off per week.
