Job Description: Inclusive Strategies Intern
This internship offers a chance to join a growing team dedicated to reimagining product development and partnerships. The team aims to increase Disney’s reach, relevance, and impact with diverse communities and fans globally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the development and distribution of Inclusive Strategies tools: This includes creating pitch decks, sizzle reels, content calendars, and presentations.
• Conduct research and fact-checking for product development: Ensure accurate and culturally sensitive information is incorporated into product creation.
• Manage business update presentations: Coordinate data collection, images, and other materials for internal and external partners.
• Support product/content review process: Track submissions, gather feedback, and prepare reports.
• Liaise with internal and external partners: Coordinate the Inclusive Strategies team’s involvement in content updates, mobilization meetings, and task forces.
• Support experiential and activation projects: Contribute to retail and product initiatives that engage diverse audiences.
• Coordinate team meetings: Generate agendas, prepare recap notes and action steps, and follow-up on tasks.
• Collaborate on new initiatives and opportunities: Contribute to the team’s evolving work.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Interest in: Consumer Products/Retail, Multicultural Marketing, Entertainment, Research, and Global Outreach for diverse audiences.
• Strong presentation skills: Ability to effectively communicate ideas to both internal and external partners.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach: Motivated, dependable, flexible, detail-oriented.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments efficiently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills: Ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Collaborative and team-oriented: Ability to work effectively with others.
• Resourceful and innovative: Ability to think creatively and adapt to change.
• Proficient in computer/technology skills: Keynote, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Google Docs/Sheets.
Required Education:
• Undergraduate student in senior year or higher, or graduated within the past 6 months: Degree in Cultural Studies, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.
• Enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall): OR graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• No prior completion of one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information:
• Schedule: Must have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
• Availability: Fully available for the duration of the internship, approximately 40 hours each week.
• Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
• Valid US Driver’s License: Recommended.
• Program Dates: January – June 2025 (approximate).
• Housing: Housing opportunities for Florida-based Professional Interns are provided through American Campus Communities.
