Immigration Paralegal | Greenberg Traurig, LLP

The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, located in Florham Park, New Jersey. Greenberg Traurig is a global law firm with locations in 15 countries, providing legal services across the world. This role is crucial for delivering efficient and accurate support within the firm’s Immigration Department, ensuring exceptional client service and effective team collaboration. • Team: Immigration Team + reporting to Office Administrator
• Mission: Provide specialized organizational and practice support to attorneys within the Immigration Department by assisting with a wide range of business immigration matters.
• Tech Stack: Windows-based software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), INSZoom

What You’ll Actually Do
• Petitions: Prepare petitions and applications for various immigration-related matters, including PERM, I-140, CP, AOS, Naturalization, H-1B, L, E-1/2, TN, O-1, J, and EB-5.
• Responses: Develop responses to sometimes complex requests for evidence from government agencies.
• Caseload: Oversee individual caseloads to ensure all work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Research: Research immigration law, procedures, and relevant updates to maintain current knowledge.
• Administration: Manage administrative duties, including maintaining the case management database and directing client contact via phone calls, emails, and postal correspondence.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal certification or equivalent experience, with demonstrated knowledge of complex issues within the Immigration practice area.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of business immigration experience within a law firm, including experience preparing immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions.
• Skills: Excellent writing skills, high attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills, computer proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications, and familiarity with immigration case management systems (INSZoom).
• Bonus: Ability to be a proactive self-starter who understands details within a larger context.
