PERM Paralegal 2 | Ogletree Deakins

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Ogletree Deakins, available remotely for candidates residing in states where the firm maintains a physical office. What You’ll Actually Do
• Application Preparation: Prepare and file high-volume PERM applications efficiently and accurately, ensuring all requirements are met under attorney supervision.
• Case Analysis: Compile and thoroughly analyze case facts, gathering and assessing all necessary documentation and information for immigration processes.
• Correspondence Drafting: Draft clear and professional correspondence, including letters and other communications, for clients and various immigration-related parties.
• Documentation Management: Meticulously maintain and organize client documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date, compliant, and readily accessible.
• Attorney Collaboration: Communicate directly and effectively with multiple attorneys, providing timely updates, responding to inquiries, and coordinating on case strategies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or a paralegal certificate obtained from an ABA-approved program, providing foundational knowledge for employment-based immigration paralegal work.
• Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of dedicated employment-based Immigration Paralegal experience is required, with specific expertise in managing complete-cycle PERM applications from initiation to completion.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong writing skills, exceptional attention to detail, the proven ability to effectively multitask across a high volume of cases, and outstanding organizational skills, alongside the capability to work independently toward achieving team goals.
• Bonus: Candidates with prior experience working specifically within a large law firm environment are preferred, given the scale and sophisticated nature of the immigration practice.
