Job Description: Imagine Internship Program – Human Resources

This six-week summer internship program (June 16, 2025 – August 1, 2025) offers rising seniors a deep dive into various corporate functions at Cornerstone Research. The program focuses on fostering adaptability, cultural understanding, and resilience. Mentorship and skill-building are key components. Prior in-depth knowledge of HR functions isn’t required.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Project Support: Shadowing and participating in key HR projects encompassing the entire employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, performance management, offboarding). This includes understanding the organization’s operational structure, HR’s role within a consulting firm, the recruitment process, benchmarking for new positions, the firm’s learning platform, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, immigration processes, new hire procedures (including I-9 verification), voluntary departure processes, and performance management reviews and core competencies. Specific tasks involve assisting with an HRIS legacy data project and shadowing new hire benefits orientations.
Administrative Support: Providing comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, including annual filing compliance, database maintenance, report generation, and understanding the HR department’s collaborations with other firm departments (Facilities & Administration, Finance, IT, Talent).
Other Tasks: Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Entering senior year of an undergraduate degree, graduating between December 2025 and June 2026.
• Demonstrated interest in Human Resources through coursework, extracurricular activities, prior internships, or volunteer work.
• Excellent academic performance and leadership experience.
• Willingness to participate in the full six-week program.
• Must live within commuting distance of the assigned Cornerstone Research office.

Compensation:

$20.00/hour for 40 hours/week, paid bi-weekly. A return offer post-internship is not guaranteed.
