Job Description: IDT Internship (Summer 2025)
HNI Corporation is seeking Information & Digital Technology (IDT) interns for its Muscatine, Iowa location during Summer 2025. This is a paid internship program offering first-hand experience in various IDT disciplines.
What You Will Do:
Interns will work on one or more projects that create value for the business. The program includes:
• Exposure to leadership.
• Professional development opportunities (Lunch and Learns, training, skill-building workshops).
• Mentorship.
• Volunteering.
• Social events.
• Company-paid apartment-style housing (availability dependent on student’s geographic needs and housing capacity).
The internship serves as a pipeline for entry-level IDT careers at HNI.

Qualifications:
• Pursuing a BA or MBA with a major in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Junior-level coursework preferred.
• Minimum 2.8 GPA.
• Relevant work experience, internships, or involvement in related activities (tutoring, business fraternities) are preferred.
Required Skills:
• Strong technical acumen and a desire for an IDT career.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop alternative solutions and work well in individual and group problem-solving situations.
• Self-starter with high personal motivation and a desire to take initiative and ownership.
