About the Humanitarian Aid/Sustainability Intern Role
The Skylus Organization is seeking a motivated and research-driven Humanitarian Aid/Sustainability Intern to join their team. This role supports real-time decision-making by conducting research across humanitarian aid initiatives, sustainable technology, environmental policy, and international development efforts.
This is a 40 hour per week, on-site internship paying $20-$24/hour depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough, real-time research on humanitarian aid efforts, global sustainability practices, policy trends, and emerging technologies.
• Summarize and present findings to the CEO through memos, briefings, or presentations.
• Assist in identifying organizations, partners, and projects aligned with the company’s long-term mission.
• Track and evaluate metrics around environmental impact, sustainable operations, and social responsibility.
• Support planning and logistics for potential pilot initiatives or outreach programs.
• Maintain organized digital records of all research and communications.
• Stay up to date with evolving global humanitarian and ESG trends.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in International Relations, Sustainability, Public Policy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Excellent research, writing, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Professional demeanor and discretion when communicating with executive leadership.
• Passion for humanitarian causes and environmental innovation.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with data visualization tools or creating briefings/presentations.
• Familiarity with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks.
• Background in non-profit work, international development, or social impact.
ITAR Requirement:
Due to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
