Job Title: Human Resources Intern for Summer 2025

Job Summary:
D.C. United is seeking an organized and enthusiastic undergraduate or graduate student who aspires to enter the human resources profession. This internship, specifically for Summer 2025, offers the opportunity to learn fundamental human resources principles. Key learning areas include Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), recordkeeping compliance, and payroll.

Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship. Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and eligible to receive course credit for participating in the internship.

Schedule and Location:
The internship is estimated to be approximately 10 hours per week and will be located at Audi Field. This is strictly an in-person position and is not remote. The ideal start date for the internship is listed as 9/9/2025, despite the job title indicating Summer 2025.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Interns will gain practical experience by:
• Learning federal recordkeeping requirements for employee records.
• Receiving an introduction to ADP WorkforceNow, a widely used HRIS.
• Learning foundational principles of confidentiality crucial in HR.
• Applying learned concepts by utilizing ADP WorkforceNow for recordkeeping tasks.
• Performing other duties as assigned to support the Human Resources department.

• It is essential that the selected candidate be actively earning course credit for participating in this internship.
• Applicants should have educational goals that align with a career in human resources or broader business fields.
• Candidates must be eligible to receive course credit for the internship from an accredited college or university.
• The selected candidate will be required to pass a background check.
