About the Human Resources Internship (Employment Branding & Learning Experience):
This part-time internship offers hands-on experience supporting Waystar’s Employment Branding & Learning Experience initiatives. The intern will contribute to two key areas:
• Employment Branding & Social Media: This involves using platforms like Waystar’s internal communication hub (Connect), LinkedIn, and other social media channels to enhance the employer brand. The intern will create and share content showcasing employee experiences, company culture, and initiatives. This includes data analysis of social media engagement to optimize content strategy.
• Learning & Development Support: The intern will assist in marketing Waystar’s podcast series and learning management system (Polaris LMS), creating content (pages, graphics, email campaigns) to drive engagement. Data analysis of learning program participation and effectiveness is also a key responsibility. This includes using internal communication tools such as Mailchimp or company-specific platforms.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Team Member Experience & Internal Communication Initiatives: Developing and executing content campaigns to promote employee experiences, affinity groups, and development programs. Collaborating with HR and Marketing to create engaging content for internal and external channels (Waystar Connect and LinkedIn). Tracking and analyzing social media engagement. Supporting programs that foster a positive work culture.
• Learning & Development Marketing: Supporting the marketing and promotion of podcasts and learning initiatives. Creating content and email campaigns to increase engagement with the Polaris LMS. Analyzing participation and effectiveness of learning programs. Managing internal communications related to learning and development.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills with social media or digital marketing experience.
• Interest in HR, employer branding, learning & development, and employee engagement.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points:
• Experience with content creation platforms (Canva, Adobe, etc.).
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Teams, Outlook).
