Job Description

Detailed Job Description: This is a Human Resources Internship at RDO Equipment Co., located in downtown Fargo, ND. The internship is designed to be both educational and practical, providing a real-world experience in a fast-paced environment. The intern will contribute to the overall business success through measurable impact on the HR function. The position requires an average of 15-20 hours of work per week.

Specific Responsibilities: The internship includes a wide range of tasks and projects across various HR functions:

Recruiting & Advertising: Assisting with recruiting activities, processes, and advertising efforts.
Background Screening: Partnering with the HR Coordinator to manage background checks, drug screens, notifications, and related documentation and communication.
Administrative Support: Providing general administrative support to the HR department.
Employee Recognition: Assisting with the employee recognition program and internal initiatives.
Special Projects: Supporting the HR team on various projects related to:
• Performance management
• Hiring and training initiatives
• Web-based performance review processes
• Retention strategies
• Policy development
Process Development: Assisting in the development of HR processes, procedures, and documentation.
Compliance: Adhering to all safety rules, regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Professional Conduct: Maintaining a professional image and positive working relationships with colleagues, management, and support resources.
Communication: Participating in company communication efforts such as meetings and huddles.
Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

Education: Current enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest in Human Resources. Minimum enrollment through December 2025.
Hours: Ability to work 15-20 hours per week at the Field Support Office in Fargo, ND.
Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple assignments, proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
Legal: Valid work authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
