About the Role
The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join its Human Resources (HR) team as a Human Resources Intern. The intern will assist with various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement. Additionally, the intern will support the HR team with administrative tasks and help coordinate employee activities. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR operations within a dynamic, mission-driven organization.
What You’ll Do
• Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, and coordinating interviews
• Support the onboarding process for new employees and interns
• Help organize and coordinate employee engagement activities and events
• Provide administrative support to the HR team, including maintaining employee files and updating HR systems
• Assist in the development and revision of HR policies and procedures
• Conduct research on HR best practices and assist with special HR projects
• Collaborate with the HR team on initiatives to enhance employee experience and organizational culture
You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration, International Relations, Political Science)
• Have a minimum junior or senior standing in undergraduate studies, or are enrolled in a graduate program
• Possess strong organizational and time management abilities
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Teams)
• Are able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Have strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Have a demonstrated interest in human resources, nonprofit management, or organizational development
• Possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Have a keen interest in human resources, nonprofit management, and transatlantic policy
• Are proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Are a team player with a proactive approach
• Demonstrate adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment

Role Highlights & Compensation
• Full or Part Time (20-40 hours per week)
• Unpaid internship
• Location: Washington, DC
• Commitment to three months, with agreed-upon hours per week
• Ability to work in CEPA’s office or remotely, depending on role requirements
