Job Description: Human Resources Internship
This internship is a 10-12 week summer program (late May/early June start) working approximately 40 hours per week at the Sparks, NV location. Interns will work directly with recognized industry experts on real-world assignments related to their field of study, receiving both mentoring and coaching. This is not a traditional internship; interns are involved in actual projects, attend planning meetings, and contribute meaningfully to the team.
Specific Responsibilities: This internship will focus on supporting the SNC Human Resources department, potentially across several areas:
• Talent Management: Supporting activities related to employee development and career progression.
• Talent Acquisition: Assisting with recruitment and selection processes.
• Human Resources Business Partners: Providing administrative and advisory support to operational leaders.
• Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS): Working with HR databases and systems.
• Total Rewards: Contributing to compensation and benefits administration.
The role will involve executing deliverables in a control, advisory, and administrative capacity for business leaders. Interns will ask questions, participate actively in project teams, bring forward ideas, and apply learning from their team to assigned projects. They will also participate in an in-depth program including cross-functional workshops and meetings with leadership to gain a broader understanding of the business and SNC culture. Successful completion of the internship may lead to a full-time position upon graduation.
