Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and people-oriented individual to join our team as a Human Resources Intern. This internship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of HR, including:
• Recruitment and Staffing: Assisting with posting and monitoring job requisitions, building upon local recruitment activity.
• HR Administration: Maintaining and updating personnel files, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Associate Relations: Participating in the Hourly Onboarding process, ensuring timely completion of I-9s for new hires.
• Compliance: Becoming familiar with Payroll policies and procedures, monitoring reports and identifying training areas to improve labor compliance.
• Wage and Hour: Assisting with payroll record review for accuracy and monitoring.
• Training and Safety: Orchestrating and tracking training programs, participating in the Safety Committee, and assisting with Accident Investigations and driving Safety Compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct HR assessments to audit the health of the operation.
• Assist with monitoring timely completion of associate appraisals.
• Participate in YouFirst and CHAT programs to drive hourly training and recognition.
• Ensure all company, state, and federal postings are up-to-date.
• Communicate with multiple departments to obtain necessary information for completing tasks.
• Build sustainable relationships with customers, team members, and technical teams.
• Provide training for managers and back-up coverage for team members.
• Complete various assignments and projects based on workloads and business priorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong interpersonal, analytical, listening, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Must be an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
• Computer skills with intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Student member of SHRMA is a plus.
