About the Job: Human Resources Intern
As a Human Resources Intern at First Student, you will gain an in-depth introduction to the Human Resources function, specifically focusing on the discipline of Compensation as a shared service partner. This role offers hands-on experience by working closely with the Compensation Manager and Sr. Director on various projects, reporting, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assists with the day-to-day responsibilities of the compensation team to effectively support internal clients.
• Aids in the coordination of organizational charts and general reporting, including data related to wage, bonus, and performance management.
• Supports the management of the compensation department’s email inbox and responds to incoming requests.
• Conducts basic wage analysis, specifically for Drivers and Technicians/Mechanics roles.
• Assists members of the Compensation department with various special projects as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Business, Human Resources, Analytics, or Economics.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Possesses the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
