Job Description: Human Resources Co-op/Intern – Summer 2025

This is a general description for multiple openings in various HR departments, with placements running from May to August 2025. Honda offers both single and multi-semester co-op/internship options.

Potential Environments and Duties:

Plant Human Resources: Participating in daily Associate Relations activities, providing customer service on benefits and HR systems, conducting information sharing meetings, performing Leave of Absence audits, supporting projects involving internal partnerships, competency management, researching best practices, assisting with mentor program setup, and providing associate resource support. This may also include developing systems for internal access to development data.

Total Rewards: Supporting research and analysis of benefit plan design, evaluating payroll practices, developing operational standards and training resources, and presenting findings to management.

Required Qualifications:

Effective oral and written communication skills
Customer service and interpersonal skills
Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher (transcript required)
Sophomore status (by credit hours) or above in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License (exceptions considered)
Ability to secure own transportation to and from work daily. (Public transportation and ride-sharing are limited in some locations). Regular in-person attendance is mandatory.
Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week.

Desired Qualifications:

• HR/Business specific coursework
• General understanding of a manufacturing environment

Position Locations:

Timmonsville, South Carolina (20 minutes southwest of Florence, South Carolina). Specific location preferences will be considered during the selection process.

hourly Wage Range: $20.45 – $27.42 (based on location, experience, education, etc.).
