About the Starbucks Summer Internship Program

The Starbucks Internship Program is a paid, full-time, 12-week program (June – early September 2025) designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience in a field of interest and expertise within the Starbucks Partner and Customer Solutions team. Roles will be based out of the Seattle Support Center in Seattle, WA.

Job Description: Human Centered Design Intern

Responsibilities:

Leverage academic research, industry best-practices, and stakeholder feedback to design and implement an evaluative approach for assessing key factors affecting the success of new retail store equipment, layouts, and processes and their impact on the barista partner experience.
Work closely with Tryer Analytics, Testing, Sprint, and Human Centered Design teams in problem scoping, solution gathering, and implementation.

Qualifications:

Interest and expertise in Industrial-organizational (I/O) psychology or Behavioral Economics
Experience in Design Thinking and Human Centered Design framework
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design pragmatic solutions.
Strong interpersonal skills including excellent communication and the ability to collaborate and work well with others.

Program Qualifications:

• Active enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree
• Ability to work full time from June – early September 2025
• Eligibility to work in the United States
