About Host Guest

Host Guest is a U.S.-based startup founded in 2024 and officially registered in Georgia in 2025. They are developing a safe, community-driven housing platform connecting international and out-of-state students, travelers, and scholars with verified host families across the United States. Their focus is on fostering human connection, trust, and accessibility, rather than solely on transactions. Currently preparing for their official platform launch in August 2025, they operate with a fully remote, mission-focused team and have over 20 interns across various departments.

Job Description: HR & Recruiting Coordinator (Intern-Level)

Host Guest is seeking an experienced HR & Recruiting Coordinator intern to support their growing HR and recruitment operations. This role requires 2-3 years of experience in human resources or recruiting, allowing the candidate to work independently and contribute significantly despite the internship structure. The intern will collaborate directly with the HR & Brand Manager, Communication & Coordination Manager, and Project & Operations Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding Coordination: Help coordinate the onboarding process for interns and new hires.
Tracking & Record Keeping: Track hiring activity, intern rosters, and participation using Google Sheets and Asana.
Recruitment Support: Assist with recruitment tasks such as screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and following up with candidates.
Documentation Management: Organize intern documentation, including offer letters, agreements, onboarding forms, and checklists.
Internal Communication: Maintain internal communication about HR policies and announcements using Slack.
Performance Management Support: Prepare and support performance evaluations and feedback cycles.
HR Check-ins & Follow-up: Participate in internal HR check-ins and take initiative on follow-up tasks.
System Refinement: Support refining onboarding systems, candidate pipelines, and document storage.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with leadership to ensure timely and consistent communication across all teams.

Qualifications:

Must be based in the United States
2 to 3 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or people operations
Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Strong communication and coordination skills
Comfortable working independently and in a remote team environment
Familiar with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Calendar), Slack, and basic HR documentation
Bonus: Experience with startup teams, hiring systems, or intern onboarding processes

Compensation & Growth Opportunities:

• Remote internship (15-20 hours/week)
Timeline: May 16 to September 6, 2025
Base stipend: $500 for the internship period
Bonus opportunity: Up to an additional $500 based on company success.
• Potential for part-time or full-time positions after the internship, based on performance.
