About LesserEvil and the HR Intern Position
LesserEvil is an innovative, healthy-snacks brand seeking a bilingual (English + Spanish) HR Intern to join their growing team in Danbury, CT. This internship focuses on supporting the recruitment and onboarding of front-line employees, ensuring they align with LesserEvil’s company culture.
Job Description
This is an on-site internship opportunity running from now through the end of August, with a potential renewal for September – December 2025. The HR Intern will report to the Talent Acquisition Coordinator and the Director, People + Culture, and will play a key role in:
• Developing recruiting pipelines with partnership organizations.
• Representing LesserEvil at job fairs and recruiting events.
• Conducting 1:1 interviews with candidates.
• Scheduling interviews with hiring managers.
• Facilitating employee onboarding sessions, focusing on company culture and safety.
• Providing support to staff and escalating sensitive issues as needed.
• Maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Recommending improvements to processes and procedures.
• Completing other related duties and special projects.
• Learning about specific areas of Human Resources, based on individual interest.
Qualifications:
• Bilingual verbal communication (English and Spanish) is required.
• Enrollment in an educational program for Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields is preferred but not required.
• 1-2+ years of human resource experience, preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be willing to work in Danbury, CT.
• Must have a reliable vehicle due to necessary travel between the factory, warehouse, and office.
