Job Description: HR Intern

Job Summary: American Food & Vending is seeking a motivated HR Intern to support various HR functions. This internship provides hands-on experience in human resources and develops essential skills for an HR career.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Support: Act as back-up to the Payroll Manager, verifying time sheets, resolving time and attendance issues, calculating commissions, and assisting field managers. Handle employee inquiries and payroll-related issues. Accurately calculate salaries, including deductions and benefits. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. Understand the company’s pay structure, overtime policies, and bonuses.
Benefits Administration: Assist in administering and managing the employee benefits program, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and other perks.
Data Management: Update internal databases with new employee information (contact details, employment forms).
Other Duties: May be assigned other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Positive and professional work ethic.

Pay: $20 – $22 per hour
