Job Description: HR Intern (Summer 2025)

E.S. Wagner Company is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual for a Summer 2025 HR Internship. This position offers practical experience in various HR functions and contributes to the company’s overall success.

Responsibilities: The HR Intern will:

Assist in Recruitment and Selection: This includes posting job vacancies, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and supporting the hiring process.
Assist in Onboarding: Prepare new hire paperwork, facilitate drug testing, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Support Employee Training: Help organize and administer employee training programs and events.
Maintain Employee Records: Keep personnel files and benefits enrollments accurate and up-to-date.
Ensure EEO Compliance: Track and report Equal Employment Opportunity data, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Assist with Benefits Administration: Provide support in benefits administration and workers’ compensation claims processing.
Perform Miscellaneous HR Tasks: Handle other HR-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration).
Knowledge: Basic understanding of HR concepts and employment law.
Skills: Excellent analytical and organizational skills; ability to work effectively in a team; strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
Availability: Must be available to work 20 hours per week with flexible hours; full-time hours are also available.
