Job Description: Hospitalist (Internal Medicine) – PA/NP

University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a full-time, board-eligible/board-certified Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join their Internal Medicine Hospitalist team in Grand Rapids, MI. The organization is looking for high-caliber, quality-focused, and innovative providers to expand and provide care to local communities within an employed team model.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform the full spectrum of inpatient care for patients, from admission to discharge.
• Responsible for evaluating patients, diagnosing, and treating health conditions, with an added emphasis on disease prevention and health management.
Coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for all patients, families, and staff.

Job Specifics and Work Environment:
• This is a primary night shift opportunity.
• Work involves 12-hour shifts.
No call requirement.
No ICU patients – the role focuses exclusively on non-ICU inpatient care.
• The position operates in an academic hybrid setting within a regional referral center.
• The hospital has 208 inpatient beds and provides 24/7 coverage.
• The role involves partnering with a team of specialists and having access to expansive medical and surgical specialty services employed through UMHW, including Cardiothoracic, Thoracic, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Neurovascular, Hematology/Oncology.
• The facility also features a comprehensive stroke program.
