Job Summary

As a Home Services Technician Intern, you will perform inspections and cleaning of both gas heating equipment (including decorative gas heating equipment) and electric air conditioning equipment. Your primary goal will be to ensure safe, efficient operation and code compliance while consistently providing superior customer service. This role also involves performing ductwork inspection, cleaning, and decontamination of HVAC systems to further guarantee safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Operates and maintains a company vehicle safely.
  • Maintains condition of tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
  • Completes accurate record-keeping functions to ensure information integrity.
  • Resolves customer complaints and inquiries to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Promotes and accepts accountability for providing superior customer satisfaction and actively selling Home Service Plus products and services (e.g., Service Plus Repair Plans, Options, Product sales referrals) to customers.
  • Maintains professional working relationships with both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

Education

  • Requires successful completion of a 1-year program (minimum 2 semesters or 3 quarters) in heating, refrigeration and air conditioning from an accredited educational institution.

Experience

  • No prior work experience is required, making this an excellent entry-level opportunity.

  • Competitive Hourly Pay: $28.18 (This compensation rate is specific to Minnesota and the pay rate negotiated in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.)
