Forsyth County is seeking a High School CTAE Work Program Intern for the 2025-2026 school year. This internship, hosted by the Parks & Recreation – Specialty Recreation department, is an opportunity for Forsyth County high school students enrolled in the CTAE Work Program to gain valuable experience in a professional environment.

Job Details:

Location: Central Park / Therapeutic Recreation Center, Cumming, GA
Job Type: Intern (Unpaid)
Department: Parks & Rec – Specialty Recreation
Hours: Approximately 5–10 hours per week (Flexible)

Essential Functions:

• Learn about the Parks & Recreation Department’s mission and goals.
• Engage with community members and provide service.
• Assist with program development and educational efforts.
• Collaborate with staff on specific projects.
• Learn department systems and procedures.

Potential Projects:

• Shadow and assist in preschool and life skills classes.
• Develop preschool-aged milestone programs.

Intern Job Responsibilities:

• Learn the overall concept of the Parks & Recreation Department, including its brand, goals, and mission.
• Engage with community members and provide service as appropriate.
• Assist with program development and educational efforts as assigned.
• Collaborate with staff on specific projects related to your internship focus area.
• Learn and become proficient in department systems and procedures as applicable.
