Job Description (Detailed)
This is a part-time internship with Aramark, focusing on health and wellness promotion, marketing, communications, and event planning within the campus environment, specifically with Hornet Hospitality.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Hourly Rate: The compensation for this position is $16.50 per hour. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate.

Position Details:
• Application Window: There is no predetermined application window; the position will close once a qualified candidate is selected.

Core Responsibilities:
The intern will work closely with the Nutrition Manager (Registered Dietitian) and the Hornet Hospitality intern team to provide valuable professional experience. Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting the Nutrition Manager in developing and executing health and wellness programs on campus.
• Creating a variety of health and wellness marketing materials, such as social media posts, videos, flyers, educational content, and handouts.
• Organizing and hosting health and wellness events, including tabling sessions, cooking classes, and other promotional activities.
• Engaging directly with students to provide peer-to-peer nutrition education.
• Performing additional duties as assigned by the Nutrition Manager.
• Note: Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.
Required Qualifications:
• Student Status: Must be a current or incoming undergraduate or graduate student at Sac State, with a preference for juniors, seniors, or graduate students.
• Nutrition Knowledge: Possesses knowledge of nutrition topics and the ability to gather and present evidence-based nutrition information.
• Academic Background (Preferred): Food, nutrition, dietetics, or other relevant majors are preferred.
• Social Media Familiarity: Familiarity with popular social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook).
• Content Creation Skills (Preferred): Experience with content creation platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe, etc.) is preferred.
• Media Production Skills: Experience in photography and video editing.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Personal Attributes: Strong creative and analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
• Work Availability:
• Ability to work 10-20 hours per week.
• Flexible schedule around class hours and business needs.
• Preference for availability during lunch (10:30 AM – 2:00 PM) and dinner (4:00 PM – 6:30 PM) times.
