Job Description
Do you have a passion for real-time embedded software and want to work with real machines? This is a challenging assignment for you!
At Canon Production Printing, you’ll be collaborating with various international manufacturers to create complete solutions for high-value customers. During your assignment, you’ll be working with actual printers and your results will be used for years by CPP R&D.
Your project:
You’ll be developing a hardware simulator based on an existing CPP module. This simulator will be used to control machines from other manufacturers (e.g., machines that punch or crease paper sheets) that are costly and not readily available in the R&D environment. You will be designing and developing the simulator software for an existing CPP stacking module.
Your journey:
You will participate in all stages of software engineering, from gathering requirements to testing, and all in between. This includes development on real machines using our state-of-the-art model-driven toolset for Linux-based platforms.
Your team:
You will be joining the finishing team, composed of 4 embedded software engineers and a product owner. This team offers diverse experience and age, creating a great learning environment.
What you’ll gain:
• A challenging assignment with skilled coaching.
• Internship/Graduation compensation of €500,- per month.
• Travel cost compensation if you don’t have an ‘OV-weekcard’.
• The opportunity to network with professionals inside and outside your field of expertise.
• A company culture that values collaboration, innovation, and ownership, empowering you to perform at your best.
Your profile:
• You are currently studying HBO IT or HBO (Applied) Computer Sciences.
• You enjoy the challenge of designing new applications that connect internal and external interfaces.
• You have an affinity for embedded software and Linux.
• You have knowledge of GIT.
• You are available for 4 to 8 months for a minimum of 4 days per week.
