Hardware Development Engineer Intern:

This is a full-time internship that offers hands-on learning and building experiences for students interested in a career in hardware engineering. You will be working alongside Senior Electrical Engineers on impactful projects, supporting the design, debug, validation, and optimization of consumer products. You will gain exposure to the complete design lifecycle, from concept to production, and gain experience with high volume manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products.
• Work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and testing.
• Perform schematic design.
• Validate hardware and debug issues.
• Develop automated test tools (LabVIEW, HPVEE).
• Travel to support engineering builds.

Location and Start Date:

You can provide your preference for location and start date during the application process, but we cannot guarantee that we can fulfill your request due to factors like availability and business needs. The internship program starts in the Fall of 2024 (August/September 2024).

Currently pursuings:

Basic Currently pursuings:

• Currently working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or other equivalent discipline, with an expected conferral date between May 2025 – December 2028.
• Embedded systems projects experience.
• Analog and digital skills with embedded systems experience.
• Knowledge of schematic design and debug skills.

Preferred Currently pursuings:

• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in domains like, but not limited to, PCB, Optical, Radio Frequency, Robotics, Thermodynamics, Acoustics, Antenna, Quantum Computing, FPGA, and more.

Compensation:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $37.16/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $88.94/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
