Job Description:

This position offers the opportunity to work on a Cloud-Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team within Annapurna Labs. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and optimization of hardware used in AWS data centers, including technologies such as AWS Inferentia (a machine learning inference product).

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the hardware design team for acceleration cards, servers, and the electrical validation of silicon.
• Work on schematic design for new acceleration cards.
• Contribute to AWS server testing.
• Engage in modeling and simulation of interconnects.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (graduation between December 2022 and September 2025).
• Academic, internship, or professional experience with schematic design and PCB layout review.
• Academic, internship, or professional experience with x86 system design and microcontroller programming.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes and multimeters.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project/internship experience with automation (Python, Perl, Shell, or Lua).
• Academic, internship, or professional experience with circuit boards (2-layer or 4-layer), buck or linear regulators, transmission lines (TE, TM, TEM), high-speed design (USB, PCIe), transistors, operational amplifiers, low-speed interfaces (I2C, SPI), Linux, microcontrollers, and soldering.
• Familiarity with simulation and modeling tools such as Cadence Allegro, Cadence OrCAD, Altium Designer, Autodesk Eagle, KiCAD, and Spice simulation.

Compensation:

The base pay ranges from $104,000/year in the lowest geographic market to $212,200/year in the highest. Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits.
