Job Description (Detailed)
This role encompasses a variety of essential functions focused on customer service, store operations, and cleanliness.
Customer Service and Interaction:
• Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers.
• Assist cashiers to ensure efficient customer checkout.
• Unload shopping carts for customers.
• Assist customers in locating products within the store.
• Know and understand the ValuCard program and be able to explain it to customers.
• Refrain from conversing with other associates while bagging a customer’s order.
• Work the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Properly use the intercom system.
Bagging and Order Management:
• Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders.
• Adhere to the company’s policies outlined in the bagging manual.
Store Maintenance and Cleanliness:
• Keep the workstation and surrounding areas neat and clean.
• Assist in sweeping and mopping all areas of the store.
• Keep bathrooms neat and clean.
• Assist in keeping the parking lot and shopping carts litter-free.
• Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
Cart Management:
• Fill bag racks.
• Assist in keeping shopping carts in their proper place on the front end.
• Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
Stocking and Merchandise Management:
• Assist in the stocking of milk and eggs.
• Stock general merchandise.
• Replace misplaced items to their proper location.
• Know and understand shelf tags to assist with price changes.
Other Duties:
• Perform other duties as assigned.
