Job Description:
This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities focused on providing excellent customer service and maintaining an efficient and clean store environment. Key functions include:

• Customer Service: Providing efficient and courteous service to all customers at all times. This also involves assisting customers in locating products within the store.
• Bagging Operations: Following the proper procedures for packaging customer orders, strictly adhering to the company’s policies outlined in the bagging manual. It is also required to avoid carrying on conversations with other associates while bagging an order to maintain focus and efficiency. Bag racks must also be filled as needed.
• Store Upkeep & Maintenance: Responsibilities include keeping the workstation and all surrounding areas neat and clean, assisting in sweeping and mopping all areas of the store, and ensuring bathrooms are neat and clean. The role also requires assisting in keeping the parking lot and shopping carts litter-free, collecting trash, and baling boxes as needed. Misplaced items must be returned to their proper locations.
• Cart Management: Unloading shopping carts for customers, assisting in keeping shopping carts in their proper place on the front end, and retrieving stray carts from the parking lot are all essential duties.
• Cashier Assistance: Providing support to cashiers to ensure customers are checked out as efficiently as possible.
• Stocking & Merchandising: This includes assisting in the stocking of milk and eggs, as well as general merchandise stocking. The ability to know and understand shelf tags is required to assist in price changes.
• Customer Information & Support: Being knowledgeable about the ValuCard program and able to explain it to customers is crucial. Proper usage of the intercom is also expected.
• Miscellaneous Duties: Working the parcel pick-up area as directed, and performing other duties that may be assigned as needed.
