Job Description, Detailed
This role involves a variety of tasks primarily focused on customer service, store maintenance, and operational support. Key responsibilities include:

• Customer Service:
• Providing efficient and courteous service to all customers.
• Assisting customers in locating products throughout the store.
• Unloading shopping carts for customers at the checkout.
• Assisting cashiers to ensure efficient customer checkout processes.
• Knowing and understanding the ValuCard program and being able to explain it to customers.
• Proper usage of the intercom system.
• Bagging and Order Fulfillment:
• Following proper procedures for packaging customer orders, adhering to company policies outlined in the bagging manual.
• Never carrying on a conversation with another associate while bagging an order to maintain focus.
• Store Maintenance and Organization:
• Filling bag racks.
• Assisting in keeping shopping carts in their proper place on the front end.
• Retrieving stray carts from the parking lot.
• Keeping the workstation and all surrounding areas neat and clean.
• Assisting in sweeping and mopping all areas of the store.
• Keeping bathrooms neat and clean.
• Assisting in keeping the parking lot and shopping carts litter-free.
• Replacing misplaced items to their proper location.
• Collecting trash and baling boxes as needed.
• Stocking and Inventory Support:
• Assisting in the stocking of milk and eggs.
• Knowing and understanding shelf tags to assist with price changes.
• Stocking merchandise.
• Other Duties:
• Working the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
