Job Description: Essential Job Functions
This role focuses on providing customer service and maintaining store appearance. Key responsibilities include:
• Providing efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Properly packaging customer orders according to company policies in the bagging manual.
• Filling bag racks.
• Unloading shopping carts for customers.
• Keeping shopping carts in the designated area.
• Assisting cashiers to expedite the checkout process.
• Retrieving stray shopping carts from the parking lot.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work station and surrounding areas.
• Assisting in stocking milk and eggs.
• Helping customers locate products.
• Refraining from personal conversations while bagging orders.
• Understanding and explaining the ValuCard program.
• Assisting with sweeping and mopping throughout the store.
• Maintaining clean restrooms.
• Keeping the parking lot and shopping carts free of litter.
• Working in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Returning misplaced items to their correct locations.
• Collecting trash and baling boxes as needed.
• Using the intercom properly.
• Understanding shelf tags to assist with price changes.
• Stocking merchandise.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
