As a Grocery Clerk, you play a crucial role in making grocery shopping easy and enjoyable for guests. What You’ll Do
As a Grocery Stocker at Festival Foods, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide Helpful Service: Deliver excellent guest service through friendly greetings, answering questions, and professionally addressing guest concerns.
- Stock & Display: Actively participate in stocking aisles, ensuring products are fresh, in-date, properly rotated, and well-stocked.
- Offer Assistance: Help guests locate products on and off the sales floor, providing product suggestions and alternatives when appropriate.
- Receiving & Inventory Support: Assist with unloading deliveries, organizing stock, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Grocery Department Manager and collaborate with the Grocery associate team to meet department goals.
- Clean & Organize: Contribute to keeping the department clean, sanitized, tidy, and well-maintained as needed.
- Problem-Solving: Address guest concerns with care and professionalism.
- Meet Goals: Ensure shelves are fully stocked by designated times.
- Honor Commitments: Maintain regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and provide adequate notice for occasional absences.
- Support the Team: Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall team.
What You Bring

- Strong teamwork and communication skills to work efficiently and effectively with others.
- Awareness of safety requirements and policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
- Ability to operate equipment such as power jacks, forklifts, walk-behind lifts, balers, and compactors (training will be provided).
Physical Demands and Work Environment

- The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; work in a cooler; walk in the store; bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
- The associate must have full range of upper body motion in order to lift product. Requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
- Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment.
- The position requires the associate to lift up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
Work Schedule
The Grocery Clerk I is a part-time position. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail grocery store environment.
