Job Description: GRC Implementation Intern

SoFi’s Business Operations department is seeking a GRC Implementation Intern to support their Independent Risk Management function. This internship focuses on the implementation of a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool. The intern will play a key role in enhancing oversight and management of key risk initiatives, controls, risk reporting, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the overall development and implementation of GRC capabilities.
• Support risk and technical functions to ensure alignment on requirements and system functionalities.
• Maintain and develop project materials (project plans, budget, status reports, dependency tracking, management updates, etc.).
• Participate in the development and execution of test plans, test scripts, and defect resolutions.
• Assist with organizational change management activities, including developing training materials, communication strategies, and “Go Live” strategies; potential for assisting in training facilitation.
• Support post-implementation activities, such as conducting “Lessons Learned” sessions.
• Leverage problem-solving and leadership skills to resolve conflicts and devise creative solutions.
• Perform administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, managing Slack channel communication, coordinating with suppliers, and handling general organizational tasks.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in an accredited US-based university (working towards a Bachelor’s degree ONLY) with an expected graduation date of Spring 2026.
• Must be returning to school for at least one quarter or semester after the internship.
• No more than 12 months of professional full-time work experience (excluding internships and research assistant roles).
• Willingness to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area and work in the San Francisco HQ office.
• Attending a US-based university.
• Experience with Google products (Google Docs, Slides, etc.).
• Program management knowledge.
