Job Description: Graphics Intern

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented individual to gain practical experience within a professional sports organization.

Job Title: Graphics Intern
Program/Location: USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) and USA Hockey Arena.
Duration: This internship runs for the upcoming season, from September 2025 to April 2026.

Role Overview:
The Graphics Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the marketing and operations efforts for USA Hockey Arena and the NTDP. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment that demands attentiveness to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to react quickly and appropriately to evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities:

In-Office Work: Work in the office during weekdays to prepare for upcoming game days and events.
Marketing Campaign Support: Collaborate directly with the Manager of Marketing Operations to efficiently execute various marketing campaigns.
Material Creation: Design and produce a variety of graphic materials, including:
• Lineup cards
• Promotional items
• Flyers
• Social media graphics
• Posters
• Other gameday materials

Skills and Qualifications:

Required Skills & Attributes:

Software Proficiency: A strong understanding of Photoshop is essential.
Creative Aptitude: Possess a creative eye for design and visual communication.
Attention to Detail: Be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Multitasking Ability: Capable of multi-tasking effectively in a dynamic environment.
Communication Skills: Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Work Ethic: Exhibit a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Availability: Must be willing to work in office and be available for some nights and weekends (likely coinciding with game days and events).

Desired/Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Academic Background: Currently a college student majoring in marketing, business, communications, or sport management.
Industry Familiarity: Familiarity with hockey is preferred but not a requirement.
Event Experience: Prior experience with live event planning/execution is preferred but not a requirement.
