Role: Graduate Program Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Graduate Program Coordinator to oversee the daily administration and coordination of our diverse graduate programs. This pivotal role is designed to ensure a seamless, supportive, and highly effective experience for both our graduate students and esteemed faculty. You will be instrumental in fostering a thriving academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing Program Logistics: Efficiently handle all administrative aspects of graduate programs, ensuring smooth operations from admissions to graduation.
  • Student Support: Provide comprehensive assistance and guidance to graduate students, addressing inquiries and connecting them with appropriate resources.
  • Inter-Departmental Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication channels between various academic departments, faculty, and administrative units.
  • Program Development & Implementation: Actively assist in the development, refinement, and successful implementation of new and existing graduate program initiatives.

This is an on-site, full-time role located in the vibrant city of Columbia, MO.

Qualifications

  • Strong Program Management and Program Development skills to effectively oversee, enhance, and strategically improve graduate programs.
  • Exceptional Communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with students, faculty, external stakeholders, and university leadership.
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in Customer Service, with a compassionate and proactive approach to assisting and supporting the diverse needs of graduate students.
  • Proven Experience with Project Management to meticulously organize, execute, and monitor program-related initiatives and special projects efficiently and on schedule.
  • Highly Detail-oriented with robust organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities to manage complex information and situations effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines with composure and efficiency within a dynamic academic environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant office software and systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, student information systems, project management tools).

Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required. A Master’s degree or prior experience in higher education administration is a significant advantage and highly desirable.
