St. James Research Centre (SJRC) is an organisation established by the Global Family Care Network in Scotland. It is accredited by the British Accreditation Council. The Centre works with a global network of professionals in fields such as community development, anti-trafficking, and orphan care. Its core mission involves using evidence-based approaches to prevent trafficking and abuse while simultaneously strengthening families and communities.

Job Description: Graduate Internship

Job Title: Graduate Internship (described as a “faith-based global service internship”).
Location: Part 1 is on-site in Falkirk, Scotland. Part 2 is an optional overseas service placement with partner organisations.
Duration: 6 months.
Compensation: Unpaid internship.
Housing: Optional housing is available at £100/week, offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Target Audience: Ideal for recent graduates preparing for roles in missions, faith-based service, or international development. While the program is rooted in Christian values and includes faith-based activities, graduates from all backgrounds and beliefs are encouraged to apply.

Internship Structure:
Part 1: Involves on-site project work at SJRC in Falkirk, Scotland.
Part 2 (Optional): Offers an overseas service placement with partner organisations, providing further practical experience.
Key Internship Elements:
Project Design: Interns will work collaboratively in teams on projects with defined goals, tasks, and outcomes. Examples include curriculum design, development of community development models, and awareness campaigns.
Mentorship: Interns receive one-on-one guidance from experienced mentors to support their professional and personal growth.
Personal Development: The program includes structured spiritual formation and reflection activities, along with journaling, designed to encourage critical analysis of experiences, solidify learning, enhance self-awareness, and promote personal growth.
Group Collaboration: Opportunities for discussions and peer learning are provided, allowing interns to share challenges, successes, and insights with their peers.
Community Engagement: Interns will have opportunities to contribute to local service initiatives, participate in cultural exchange events, and engage in other outreach activities.
Study & Learning: Access is provided to online and live courses covering subjects such as community strengthening, orphan care, and anti-human trafficking.
Post-Internship Support: Optional career guidance, resources, and continued mentorship are available after the internship concludes.
Responsibilities:
