The Valley View Public School District is seeking to fill a full-time Grade 5 teaching position.
Job Description:
• Position: Full-time Grade 5 Teacher
• School Year: 2025-2026
• Reporting To: Building Principal
• Responsibilities:
• Planning instructional lessons that meet the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Employing effective instructional techniques.
• Qualifications:
• Must hold the appropriate State of Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License.
• Successful teaching experience (preferred).
• Demonstrated skill in diagnosing, prescribing, assessing student learning, and appropriate record keeping.
• Must possess effective behavior management skills.
• Must be able to structure a classroom to maximize student learning.
• Must be able to establish effective communication skills with a variety of stakeholders.
