Job Description: Government Operations Internship

This internship program offers a unique opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic students to contribute to Boeing’s crucial Government Operations department. Interns will play a pivotal role in advocating for Boeing’s interests and shaping public policy through engagement with federal, state, and local governments, as well as key stakeholders.

The internship involves:

Advocacy and Outreach: Contributing to Boeing’s lobbying efforts by collaborating with senior leaders and lobbyists to prepare briefs, presentations, and documents.
Policy and Program Support: Providing crucial support to company leaders on government-related matters, monitoring legislative, regulatory, and news developments.
Operational Assistance: Assisting in operational tasks such as research and analysis.

Available Teams:

Defense, Space & Security: Engaging with key stakeholders like the Pentagon, NASA, and Homeland Security to shape the future of defense and security solutions.
Federal Legislative Affairs: Collaborating with Congress and federal agencies to influence Boeing’s policy and program priorities.
Boeing Global Engagement: Building global partnerships, driving innovation, and addressing global challenges through engagement with international stakeholders, governments, and organizations.
State & Local Engagement: Driving positive change in local communities through government interactions, public relations, and grassroots efforts.
Business Operations: Delving into the intricate processes that power Boeing’s industry leadership.
Strategy and Advocacy: Shaping strategic initiatives, including involvement with Boeing’s Political Action Committee (BPAC) and grassroots campaigns.

Qualifications:

Required: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program with an anticipated graduation date on or after August 2025. Availability for full-time work spanning 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2025.
Preferred: Passion for the aerospace industry. A history of academic distinction (GPA of 3.0 or higher). Previous internships, work experiences, or involvement with student/civic organizations. A major in public policy, political science, economics, international relations, finance, or a related field.

Location: Positions are expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed location options. Some positions may require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Compensation: Summary pay range: Min: $37,000 – Max: $62,000
