Government Operations Internship

This internship program offers driven students a chance to be a part of Boeing Government Operations, a team responsible for advocacy and outreach to various government entities. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in shaping policies, championing Boeing’s reputation, and ensuring their competitiveness, all while contributing to the development of new business opportunities.

Your responsibilities may include:

Collaborating with senior leaders and lobbyists: Prepare briefs, presentations, and documents.
Providing vital support to company-wide leaders: Assist with government-related matters.
Monitoring legislative, regulatory, and news developments: Stay informed within your team’s focus area.
Assisting in crucial operational tasks: Contribute to various tasks within the team.

Available Teams:

Defense, Space & Security: Work closely with organizations like the Pentagon, NASA, and Homeland Security to develop future defense and security solutions.
Federal Legislative Affairs: Collaborate with Congress and federal agencies to influence Boeing’s policy and program priorities.
Boeing Global Engagement: Foster global partnerships, drive innovation, and address global challenges through philanthropy, volunteerism, and community impact campaigns.
International Operations & Policy: Contribute to foreign sales, nurture trade relationships, and shape international policy matters.
State & Local Engagement: Drive positive change within local communities through government interactions, public relations, and grassroots efforts.
Business Operations: Delve into the intricate processes that power Boeing’s business leadership.
Strategy and Advocacy: Shape Boeing’s strategic initiatives, including involvement with their Political Action Committee (BPAC) and grassroots campaigns.

Qualifications:

Required:
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program with an anticipated graduation date on or after August 2025.
• Availability for full-time work spanning 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2025.
Preferred:
• Passion for the aerospace industry.
• Academic distinction (GPA of 3.0 or higher).
• Previous internship or work experience.
• Involvement in student or civic organizations.
• Major in public policy, political science, economics, international relations, finance, or a related field.

Additional Information:

• Positions are expected to be 100% onsite.
• Some positions may require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship.
• Some positions require a “US Person” status, which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.
• Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
