Job Description: Government Operations Internship

Boeing’s prestigious Government Operations Internship program offers passionate and driven students a unique opportunity to contribute to the company’s advocacy and outreach efforts. As a Government Operations Intern, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping policies, championing Boeing’s reputation, and ensuring its competitiveness.

Your Role:

Advocate for Boeing’s interests: You will work closely with federal, state, and local governments, as well as key stakeholders, to promote Boeing’s policies and initiatives.
Shape the future of aerospace: You will have a hand in developing new business opportunities for Boeing by influencing policy decisions and advocating for the company’s strategic goals.
Gain invaluable experience: You will collaborate with experienced mentors, participate in guided tours of advanced manufacturing and research facilities, and engage in dialogue with Boeing’s visionary leaders.
Build a lasting network: You will forge connections with fellow interns and Boeing professionals, creating a network that will benefit you throughout your career.

Available Teams:

Defense, Space & Security: Work with the Pentagon, NASA, and Homeland Security to contribute to the future of defense and security solutions.
Federal Legislative Affairs: Collaborate with Congress and federal agencies to influence Boeing’s policy and program priorities, supporting both Commercial and Defense programs.
Boeing Global Engagement: Foster global partnerships, drive innovation, and address global challenges through philanthropy, volunteerism, and community impact campaigns.
International Operations & Policy: Collaborate on the global stage, fostering foreign sales, nurturing trade relationships, and shaping international policy matters.
State & Local Engagement: Drive positive change in local communities through government interactions, public relations, and grassroots efforts.
Business Operations: Delve into the intricate processes that power Boeing’s industry leadership.
Strategy and Advocacy: Shape the roadmap for Boeing’s strategic initiatives, including involvement with Boeing’s Political Action Committee (BPAC) and grassroots campaigns.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare briefs, presentations, and documents in collaboration with senior leaders and lobbyists.
• Provide support to company-wide leaders on government-related matters.
• Monitor legislative, regulatory, and news developments relevant to your team’s focus area.
• Assist in crucial operational tasks.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program with an anticipated graduation date on or after August 2025.
• Availability for full-time work spanning 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2025.

Preferred:

• Passion for the aerospace industry.
• Strong academic record (GPA of 3.0 or higher).
• Previous internships, work experiences, or involvement with student/civic organizations.
• Major in public policy, political science, economics, international relations, finance, or a related field.

• Positions are expected to be 100% onsite.
• Some positions may require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, requiring U.S. Citizenship.
