Experienced AppleCare Last Time Buy (LTB) Planner responsible for the long-term forecasting and planning of components and service parts. Manage the LTB planning function within the demand planning organization to ensure that the service parts are available in the right quantity for Apple customers. Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and materials planning teams to build the consensus on the LTB proposal.
A successful candidate needs to be a results-driven individual with strong analytical capabilities, eye for business, and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with partner teams to resolve supply chain issues.
The essential duties of this position include:
Generate an accurate long-term forecast for service parts and components
Develop LTB strategy and recommendations that are aligned with AppleCare service strategy
Perform detailed demand and inventory analysis to explain the key drivers of the excess inventory, and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams
See opportunities to reduce LTB spend using cost benefit analysis
Lead LTB review meetings on a regular basis with senior leadership
Perform repair yield and component failure analysis by using historical data and trends
Monitor actual consumption against the forecast, and call out excess or shortage issues to the leadership
Conceptualize and implement systems solutions to automate, standardize, and improve overall planning process
Operate within the complex business environment requiring an ability to deal with multiple internal and external business groups
