Global Product Management Internship
This 12-week summer internship offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding experience for undergraduate and graduate students. Internships can be on-site, hybrid, or fully remote within the United States. All interns receive a competitive salary, and those relocating to Illinois for on-site internships receive a housing stipend.
Responsibilities:
• Represent the Global Marketing and Sales Division during product development projects as the “voice of the customer.” Ensure product attributes create a positive end-user value proposition.
• Work alongside product managers to execute logistical planning for Alpha and Beta tests with end users.
• Analyze competitive products such as wired and wireless microphones, in-ear monitors, earphones, and audio accessories.
• Review user documentation for accuracy regarding product features, proper usage, and expected performance.
• Analyze sales and market data to facilitate business decisions for both existing Shure products and new product concepts.
• Perform other related duties as requested, such as taking notes for Global Product Management and other region-specific meetings, purchase orders, department shipping needs, etc.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, music technology, or sound engineering with junior level standing or higher.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Pro-Audio networks (microphones, lighting, speakers, mixing consoles, video equipment or other live production equipment) is ideal.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent listening skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiences.
• Analytical thinker with the ability to offer recommendations based on data and customer feedback.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
• Interest in audio, music, live performance, technology, and computer networking are a plus.
