Department: Global Health & Safety Department
Location: UPS Global Headquarters in Atlanta, GA (Relocation for the duration of the internship is expected).
Job Summary / Program Overview
UPS is seeking a passionate and driven intern to join our Global Health & Safety Department. This Internship Program is designed to prepare the next generation of H&S professionals for success by providing:
- Skill Development: Hands-on experience with a world-renowned company.
- Networking Opportunities: Exposure to various H&S business segments and engagement with senior leaders.
- Mentorship: Guidance from experienced professionals to navigate UPS and identify career development opportunities.
- Meaningful Assignments: Interns will take ownership over high-impact assignments, culminating in a capstone project.
- Leadership Exposure: Opportunity to present capstone projects to the Health & Safety Leadership Team.
- Future Opportunities: Identification of top talent with potential for future full-time roles.
- Training: Further development of H&S leaders through dedicated training.

Responsibilities And Duties
As a Global Health & Safety Intern, you will:
- Create solutions and paths forward for real business needs.
- Conduct meaningful research using data to support your capstone project and produce deliverables.
- Assist in the development and improvement of company H&S practices.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders relevant to your capstone project responsibilities.
- Ensure alignment of your work to company, business-unit, and stakeholder long-term strategies and goals.
- Engage in training and development opportunities.
- Participate in intern events to expand knowledge of UPS and engage with senior leaders.
- Meet with mentors for assistance navigating UPS and identifying career development opportunities.
- Encourage diversity of thought, experience, and ideas.
- Present your final capstone project to UPS leadership at the end of the internship program.

Basic Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program with a preferred course of study in Occupational Health and Safety or Safety Management.
- Anticipated graduation date of December 2026.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
- Ability to be in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA.
- Ability to adapt to both office and operations settings.

- CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
