Job Description: Global E-commerce Frontend Internship

This internship is part of the Global E-commerce Team, which focuses on content e-commerce using international short video products as a platform. Their goal is to become the first choice for users to discover and purchase good products at affordable prices. The team aims to provide users with a more tailored, active, and efficient consumption experience, while enabling merchants to receive stable and reliable platform services.

This 12-week internship program will begin in May/June 2025 and is designed to offer students hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths.

# Responsibilities:

• Develop efficient and reusable front-end systems for complex e-commerce web applications.
• Optimize code to improve scalability, reliability, security, and performance of web applications.
• Collaborate with design, product management, and engineering teams to deliver a best-in-class user experience.

# Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2025.
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
• General familiarity and interest in frontend development:
• Languages: JavaScript/Typescript/HTML/CSS
• Frontend frameworks: React/Vue/Angular
• Packaging frameworks: Webpack/Rollup/BaBel/AST/Gulp
• Familiar with key concepts: functional and asynchronous programming, closures and types, layouts, specificity, animation, cross-browser compatibility, data security, and accessibility.
• General understanding of multi-tier application architecture and protocols.
• Familiarity with product and software development lifecycle process.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.
• Agile, quick self-learner, highly self-motivated with a strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver.
• Deeply passionate about software coding/development and building great mobile/web applications.
• Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast-moving, culturally diverse, and globally distributed team environment.
