Job Description: Global Corporate Affairs and Public Policy Intern

This internship program is based in Washington, DC, and is designed to provide graduate students with practical, hands-on experience in corporate affairs operations. The internship will run during the summer of 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Public Policy Research and Analysis:
• Draft memos based on research and analysis of emerging public policy trends and issues, including AI, cybersecurity, small business, and financial services.
• Conduct strategic research and analysis at state and federal levels, developing advocacy and public affairs plans.
• Analyze proposed legislation and its impact on Intuit, summarizing and comparing privacy bills to company priorities.
• Support the launch of research and development projects.
Legislative and Stakeholder Engagement:
• Attend legislative hearings and write up analysis of the proceedings.
• Engage with trade associations and consultants.
• Participate in other key priorities and special projects.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Partner with cross-functional teams on various projects.
• Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong collaboration abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Academic Background: Academically strong and highly motivated graduate student in public policy with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong collaboration abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Technical Skills: Technology proficient and adaptable to new processes.
Experience: Prior work experience in a company or corporate setting is a plus, particularly in the technology sector.
Policy Interest: Demonstrated interest in public policy (e.g., political science undergrad degree, pre-law track).
