Global Community Intern | rednote

This is an internship at rednote, located in New York. rednote is a leading lifestyle discovery community platform focused on the value of real, lived human experiences. This internship is crucial for expanding rednote’s successful community platform from the East to a global user base in the West. The role aims to identify and engage culturally curious tastemakers in New York who are willing to share their local insights and activate the city’s community.

What You’ll Actually Do
Creator Sourcing & Relationship Management: Identify, recruit, and build lasting relationships with relevant creators in your community through outreach, events, and ongoing communication, while also spotting emerging talent and cultural trends.
Creator Onboarding & Support: Guide creators from initial contact through their first post, supporting their integration and success on the platform.
Event Planning & Execution: Plan and execute various boutique events, including pop-ups, campus activations, and creator meetups, managing all logistics from venue sourcing to on-site coordination.
Local Brand Representation: Serve as the approachable and energetic face of the rednote brand on the ground, ensuring our mission is always represented and capturing event outcomes such as photos, feedback, and sign-ups.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with activation teams and internal stakeholders to integrate community efforts with broader growth strategies and ensure seamless execution of programs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or postgraduate student in New York.
• Experience: Demonstrated belonging to a community such as art, journalism, design, or campus media, along with the social trust to effectively engage and onboard people.
• Skills:
* Persuasiveness and Communication: Ability to pitch ideas effectively, read a room, and influence others to align with objectives.
* Resourcefulness and Initiative: Proven capability to find the right people and start productive conversations, making things happen even when directions are fluid.
* Accountability and Self-Management: Highly reliable and comfortable with ambiguity, taking ownership of outcomes and proactively flagging problems early.
* Detail-Orientation and Execution: Meticulous in handling the full lifecycle of tasks, from outreach and logistics to on-site execution and post-event follow-up, without missing small details.
* Extroversion and Adaptability: Confident in engaging with diverse individuals, from venue owners to student leaders, and aligning them in the moment, thriving in the messy space between “idea” and “done”.
