Deputy Director – Global Procurement | PepsiCo

This is a global leadership role at PepsiCo, focused on enhancing global procurement operations and achieving strategic business objectives. This position is crucial for driving productivity and building advanced strategic sourcing capabilities within the Technology and Professional Services categories, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective support across the organization. The Deputy Director will play a vital role in shaping global procurement strategy and fostering collaborative partnerships to deliver significant business impact.
The TL;DR
• Role: Deputy Director
• Team: Reports to PepsiCo Global Indirect & ITPS Leadership Team, collaborates with GCC Hubs and senior tower leads across Insights, Reporting, Supplier Management, Tactical Buy, RFx, and Contracting capabilities.
• Mission: Own and drive the global Technology and Professional Services category strategy while delivering annual productivity targets and ensuring high-quality support across ITPS categories.
• Tech Stack: Ariba, Archlet, Selectica
What You’ll Actually Do
• Achieve Objectives: Pro-actively contribute to overall Business and Procurement objectives, delivering YoY productivity as per targets defined by the Global Leadership team.
• Drive Strategy: Drive the global Technology and Professional Services category strategy, leading all sourcing, negotiation, and contracting for related products and services.
• Deliver Services: Deliver sourcing services through a dedicated ICC ITPS Rfx/Contracting team, applying leading practices and policies to manage and improve service, quality, and cost via motivated Direct Reports.
• Optimize Operations: Propose and optimize ways of working by finetuning and leveraging tools, toolkits, and the GCC team setup, finding ways to unlock a smooth, best-in-class collaborative working model.
• Foster Collaboration: Ensure high-quality support as a pro-active service provider across IT& Telecom, HR & Prof Services, and Temp Labor categories, contributing to a collaborative working model and ‘one team’ approach through open communication, credibility, and trust with internal stakeholders, the Europe procurement community, and suppliers.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Deputy Director level with a strong background in Procurement.
• Experience: 14+ years in Procurement, with a proven track record in Indirect (Technology and Professional services) Procurement, preferably within an FMCG environment. Includes overall excellent knowledge of procurement processes and category sourcing approaches in best-in-class procurement organizations and the ability to implement them in complex environments, plus a proven leadership track record.
• Skills: Good business acumen, knowledge of financial fundamentals, and excellent analytical and computer/systems skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with e-sourcing tools (Ariba, Archlet) and CLM systems (e.g. Selectica).
