What You’ll Actually Do
• Spatial Data Management: Manage and analyze spatial data using GIS software to support project needs.
• Methodology Improvement: Design and enhance GIS methodologies to improve project efficiency and provide customized data and graphics solutions.
• Automation & Scripting: Create tools and scripts to automate frequently executed GIS tasks.
• Data Representation: Generate technically skilled and detailed solutions by preparing clear, complete, and accurate representations of spatial data across diverse media.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on energy and land development projects to offer GIS support and insights.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in GIS, geography, or a related field, with demonstrated capabilities in GIS.
• Experience: Basic proficiency in ArcGIS software and geospatial analysis techniques. Demonstrated ability to work with standard GIS datasets, deliverables, and software. Understanding of coordinate systems, map projections, datums, cartographic methods, GIS principles, and spatial data management.
• Skills: ArcGIS software, geospatial analysis, spatial data management, cartography, data interpretation.
• Bonus: Previous experience with consulting engineers and/or surveyors, energy projects (e.g., transmission, solar, wind), land development, remote sensing, GPS technology, web mapping tools, AutoCAD, DWG files, Google Earth, KMZ files, LiDAR datasets, Arcade expressions, Python, ModelBuilder, or another common GIS scripting language, or experience as a consultant.
