German Intern/Trainee

About the Role
This is a 6-month internship for a German intern/trainee focusing on accounting, auditing, and tax projects across our US offices. The program offers insights and practical experience in international auditing, accounting, and tax consulting, primarily serving US subsidiaries of foreign-owned, German-speaking, and European family businesses.

What You’ll Do
• Gain practical experiences in all areas of US-American and German auditing and tax consulting
• Receive training in various areas, e.g., ProSystems Engagement, Microsoft Excel, preparation of bank reconciliations, cash audits, tax estimates
• Collaborate in a high-performing and interdisciplinary team
• Perform demanding tasks in an international environment

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Have at least three semesters of economics studies with a focus on (international) accounting, auditing and/or taxes
• Have first theoretical and/or practical experience in accounting and/or taxes
• Enjoy teamwork, possess high motivation, self-initiative, high quality awareness, and good analytical skills
• Have fluent knowledge of German and English in word and writing
• Have self-initiative and independent working methods

• Base Pay Range in Chicago, Denver, and Manhattan metropolitan areas: $20-32/hr (Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location)
